Abdu Dandridge is a visionary filmmaker and founder of Pressure Entertainment Films LLC, an independent film production studio based in Phoenix, Arizona. Originally from the Fort Greene Projects in Brooklyn, New York, Abdu’s passion for filmmaking led him to establish Pressure Productions in 1994, which later evolved into Pressure Entertainment Films LLC in 2003. Abdu's career in the entertainment industry began with his work on local tv channel for a comedy show called “No B.S. Allowed”, which he co-wrote, produced, and directed. The show aired for three years on Brooklyn's Community Access Television (now known as BRIC TV). From there, he expanded his creative portfolio, writing eight full-feature screenplays and directing a variety of music videos for independent record labels, including Now Or Never Records, A.I.O. Entertainment, Gatbush Brooklyn Crew, Raw Wattage, and Johnny Britt. He also had the honor of producing content for legendary jazz guitarist George Benson. In 1996, Abdu marked a milestone in his career by writing, producing, and directing his first animated film, Junior High, followed by another animated project, Brooklyn, later that year. These projects laid the foundation for his growing expertise in film production and editing. Abdu’s notable work in the music video realm includes directing and producing the award-winning video for “Grown Man” by artist P.watts, featuring Piazo and Pachino Dino. The video earned the prestigious 2010 South Carolina Music Video Award for Best Video of the Year. In May 2007, Abdu went on to write, produce, direct and edit his first full length feature film entitled “Pressure” which was later distributed through CodeBlack Entertainment in May 2009. August 2020, Abdu earned his second deal with the feature “Pressure” and the film is presently being distributed worldwide through Entertainment Studios/Freestyle Digital Media, reaching over 50 countries on home video / streaming platforms. Building on his success, Abdu produced and directed a short film and sizzle reel for Frank F. Fiore’s upcoming feature film CYBERKILL, which is currently in development. In early 2021, he also produced, wrote, and directed a red-band teaser trailer for the highly anticipated film PAY DAY,presently in development. Abdu presently has produced and directed a late 1800’s sizzle real about the resurfacing of “Jack the Ripper” which will showcase late November 2024 in Prescott AZ. From his early days in Brooklyn to his current work in the film industry, Abdu Dandridge continues to push the boundaries of creativity and storytelling, making his mark as a multifaceted filmmaker, producer, and director.
